History


1904

Claude MURE bought a spinning wheel, sharpening workshop slides for his son Edward to Anthony and The Monnerie The Montel near Thiers (63), capital of French cutlery. 

1954

PEYROT Ernest, son of Edward MURE, took charge of the company becomes Mure et Peyrot. It keeps the core business of the company including the innovative invention of the knife to Lino. 

1972

Upon the death of Ernest Peyrot, Jean-Claude Peyrot became the manager of Mure et Peyrot.

1983

MURE & PEYROT became the first French manufacturer of safety knife.

1992

  French Company SAINT GOBAIN wants to improve safety on its website Longjumeau (Closed to Paris).
  This command will propel MURE & PEYROT to become the global leader in accessories for the manufacture of windshield.

1995

MURE ET PEYROT bought the machines of the last French manufacturer of razor blades industrial type.

1998

ISO 9002 certification awarded by the German TUV Rheinland France. 

2001

Innovation Award nomination in the category with products at the show Ausone PREVENT'OUEST Rennes. Created in the Lyon region of our unit for injecting plastic to manufacture our range while trying new materials. 

2002

  Getting the price of European journalists at the show in Paris and Expoprotection Price Safety & Health Expo in Birmingham. Creating a unit of blades  Solingen (Germany) for the manufacture of blades and the sale of our entire range in this country. Introduction of Teflon plastic components in the knife handles to improve sustainability.

2003

Certification ISO 9001 version 2000.

2004

MURE & PEYROT celebrates 100 years. Centenary and repatriation of the injection unit to improve responsiveness. 

2005

Creating bakery range and getting a safety award to Europain in Paris for the creation of the first blade scarification plastic..

2006

Expansion of our site Bordeaux to concentrate our production units plastic injection, manufacturing blades, assembling and packaging. Release 2 of our knives safe: AUROS & MEDOC.

2008

Bernard PEYROT became co-manager of the company.
